Sale of Trappist

Home delivery

In January 2021, the monks of St. Sixtus Abbey start a pilot project for the sale of Trappist Westvleteren with home delivery.

In order to give as many people as possible the opportunity to use this service, each customer can only order one crate of beer. The 12 bottles  are shipped in a specially designed cardboard crate with a sturdy outer box around them. The cardboard crate was developed in collaboration with VPK. The crate and outer box are made from 100% recycled cardboard and were tested for drop resistance in the laboratory of the Belgian Packaging Institute through a series of rigorous drop tests.

The delivery of the orders is provided by a courier service.

We also expect that the new sales system will contribute to an even wider and fairer distribution of our beers.

Each home delivery sales session is announced a few days in advance on the beer sales calendar. Here the sales moment is indicated in black.

For the time being, the home delivery service is only offered to customers who have their account address in Belgium.

Orders placed for collection at the sales centre at the Abbey are never dispatched.
